The Fastest Way To Get Your Novel Written
Fail Fast - To get better at anything you must do a lot of it. However, as humans we hate to "waste time". Many writers think, "Why would I write a novel unless I know it will be good and successful?"
That is how I always failed: I got stuck in mind, thinking about writing and knowing it wouldn't be perfect and figuring it wouldn't be successful, so I never took action and actually wrote the entire novel.

It's really quite limiting because it instantly freezes you up from writing anything - even one sentence. It's because you're stuck on the thought that "if it doesn't succeed, then it's a waste of time".
Imagine if you looked at every task like that. Suppose you thought that when:
- Learning to ride a bike
- Learning to catch a ball
- Learning to drive a car
- Learning to read
This is really the terrible philosophy of "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?"
That philosophy turned upside down is "Why do anything unless you know you'll succeed?"
Well, I guess you shouldn't ever try anything you're unsure of, which means you're probably going to sit on your couch doomscrolling.
